BARRACUDAS HEAD COACH OLIVIA Hello, Barracuda families! I am very excited to get this swim season started. My name is Olivia Heaston and I will be the head coach this summer for the Willow I Barracudas. This will be my fourth summer coaching. Before this I swam on the team from the time I was five all the way through last summer. Unfortunately, this summer I will be nineteen and too old to swim on the team. This past school year was my first year in college at the University of Wyoming; I am also on the track team there. Before college I swam competitively on and off with Colorado Athletic Club since the age of about 9. I swam on the Cherry Creek High School varsity swim team for three years, and my senior year I chose to swim on the JV1 team in order to focus on my track career. I was a swim instructor for Aqua Kickz swim school during my junior and senior year of high school. I am also a lifeguard at the pool so it will be fun to see all of you outside of swim team! Besides swimming and track, I love to read, go on bike rides, hang out with everyone in the neighborhood, and enjoy the many sunny days that Colorado receives! I enjoy swimming and coaching, I love this neighborhood, and I couldn't be more thrilled and excited to get this season started!
BARRACUDAS COACH JULIA My name is Julia Maddock, I am 18 years old, and I attend Regis Jesuit high school. I absolutely love swimming and it has been a huge passion of mine for many years now. I’ve been swimming on the Barracuda’s ever since I was a 6 and under, and I’ve been swimming on a club year-round team ever since middle school. I currently have been swimming for Regis as well as The Denver Swim Academy. I was on Varsity swimming for all four high school years and am a state qualifier in both high school and club swimming. I have zone and sectional qualifying times for year-round as well. My favorite events are the 200 IM, 200 Back, and 500 Free. I also run varsity track and cross country; I love being active. Next year I will be attending Carroll College in Helena, Montana to study nursing. Overall, I am so excited to be coaching this year and I can’t wait for an awesome season.
BARRACUDAS COACH JAKE Hey everyone, my name is Jake Dwyre, I'm 18, and attended Regis Jesuit High School for the past four years. I was on the swim team all four years and was a captain my senior year. I started competitive swimming when I was 6 and stayed with it for 12 solid years. I also played soccer for about 6 years. I enjoy riding my bike as long as the weather is stable. I will be attending the University of Colorado at Boulder next year to be a film major. Although I am new to the Willow Creek Swim Team, I am very excited and am sure it'll be a blast!
BARRACUDAS COACH KURT Hey. My name is Kurt Spitzer and I’m 15 years old. This previous school year I swam with the Cherry Creek High School Swim Team. In my off season, I swim with Colorado Athletic Club Stingrays. My first swimming experience was at 5 years of age in Florida when I swam summer leagues with a local country club. I took a break from swimming (played some soccer); then when my family moved to Colorado 3 years ago, I began swimming with the Willow Creek Barracudas. This will be my third season with the “Cudas” and I love the team. I’ll also be a lifeguard at our pool this summer, so ya’ll might run into me at the pool outside team practice. I feel that with our renovated pool will come success this summer in our meets - and Championships at home will be a great experience! Can’t wait for the first practice!
BARRACUDAS COACH PARKER My name is Parker Mack. I have been swimming for ten years with the Willow Creek 1 Barracudas, four years with my year-round team, and two years with the Cherry Creek High School Team. I will be a junior next year at CCHS. When I'm not swimming, I really like to ski during the winter. Over the summer, I plan on living at the pool because I'll also be lifeguarding and just hanging out down there so I plan on seeing a lot of you guys at our new fancy pool.
